2D animation

1. Stencyl block game.
Create three levels of varying difficulty             
Animate the main block character
Export game as a stencil file and a flash file.

2. Use a Sprite sheet to create a character in pre made stencil game.
Export game as a stencil file and a flash file.

3. Use your own character design to create a walk cycle
                  Save a copy as a pdf.

4. Add your characters walk cycle to a pre made game.

Export game as a stencil file and a flash file.

Tuesdays class 4 ( 28/10/14)

2D Animation

 1. Start on the final assignment.

 2.Design and draw up a character. (If you don't have one you can use a pre existing sprite sheet)

 3.Using Illustrator, Photoshop interpret and draw your character up into at  walk cycle using at least 4 frames.

4. Drop the frames into The Template Platform Stencyl game provided.

5. Create additional frames for your characters other movements e.g Jump/duck.


6. Export your final game as both a stencil and flash file and hand in a digital folder to your teacher by the due date.

Submit
  •  Your block game with animated character and 3 levels as a Stencyl and flash file.
  • Your Character dropped into the platform template game provided.

2. Fill out your WH&S Hazzard identification report.

Tuesdays Class 3 (21/10/14)

1. Finish off the crash courses from last week.

2. Follow a demonstration on using sprite sheets to add a character to a pre existing game.

3. Find a sprite sheet of a character you might like to animate. Make sure it is on a transparent background.

Mondays Class 2 (20/10/14)

WH&S
1. Follow as your teacher explains the
WH&S hazard Risk Assessment Table
Hierarchy of controls

Standard operating procedures for the 3D Printer.

2. Follow a demonstration on using the TAFEs 3d Printer to print off a simple model.

3. Under observation from from your teacher you need to print of a simple model using the 3d Printer. Follow all safety precautions and procedures.

4. Fill out the hazard identification report and submit to your teacher.

Both the observation and the hazard report need to be completed by the 11th of November 2014

7. If you have finished the tutorials ask your teacher for a copy of the shark image jpg to start your final assignment or down load it here.

  • We opened up the Stencyl 'block game'
